What's cooking?

One of our newfound pleasures in Alohaland is cooking healthy and different meals. Not always pasta, like at home. This dish isn't all that photogenic, but it was actually a delicious lentil soup. Nothing special or fancy, just different to what we would have cooked up at home. Maybe it's because we have more time or maybe it's because our 15 packets of specially imported (at great cost!) pasta are too precious for everyday use, but we have branched out a bit in our cooking, and I like it.

Dare I say that the rain came back with a vengeance today?! In fact, the Pali Highway has been closed due to landslides - there's just too much rain!! So we went to the Y today and then I got a lot of work done, whilst Tiziano continued with his music project. I figure that if I get up to date with my work, the sun will come out and I'll be able to enjoy outdoor life again.

I did take a break at one point (whilst the rain was taking a break) and went for a walk along the beach. It felt quite balmy and I felt delightfully free.
