Our footsteps rhyme
I often go for two walks on the beach in one day. I have my early morning walk alone, where I savour the quiet and welcome the new day. Then, after breakfast and catching up with the news online, Tiziano and I go for another walk and we usually reach our rocky crop about two kilometres along the beach. We walk along, chatting or quiet, and our steps fall into line. After more than two months of really living together (following 10 years of commuting between Florence and Grosseto) I'm happy to find that our steps do rhyme. We are creating a rhythm together and it sounds good!
The days go by so quickly. It seems as though we have forever in a day and our stay will go on forever, but time flashes by. That's okay, I'm enjoying letting time go by, not pushing or pulling it, just letting it.
Yesterday, I didn't write an entry. I simply forgot. Shame as I had some lovely photos. It was a YMCA day and I enjoyed my swim there immensely. We also checked out the library while we were in Kailua. Of course I did some work and read my book (nearly finished). In the evening we went upstairs and chatted with Angelo and his two friends, Richard and Chris.
The warm weather really seems to be making itself at home here now and I was able to swim in the ocean today. It was exhilarating! I really am a water babe, there's no doubt about that. Tiziano is busy recording (and being eaten by mosquitos) and I worked all afternoon. A bit too much work for my liking. Our only outing today, besides the beach, was a trip to Costco. And now we're enjoying a quiet evening. All good.
