Out to Cockatoo

Birkenhead Point is an interesting location along the shoreline of inner Sydney Harbour. The scene of a major shopping mall and massive pleasure boat marina, it also looks out toward Cockatoo Island. This place is primarily decommissioned now but it once was the centre for naval repairs, refits and construction, especially during World War II.
