Carnage!

Ok, a bit of a dramatic headline, but I was very saddened today to see lots of mature trees being cut down to make way for a road. I understand that we need roads, and that trees my have to be felled to make way for them. However I don't believe Inverness ever needed a bypass, but I do know that the road will facilitate housing development, which is the real reason for building it. Social housing? You've got to be joking. Affordable housing? I doubt it. But the developers will pay for the road, and everyone is happy, except me. (And I ain't no tree-hugger!)
