Roskilde Cathedral and Viking Ship Museum

After a hearty breakfast, a train journey to Roskilde. Here we visited Roskilde Cathedral, a UNESCO World heritage site where many Kings and Queens of Denmark are buried - over 40. This is apparently the largest number in the world. I loved this Dove and its cascading feathers. After lunch we walked to the Viking Ship Museum which was fascinating (see extra) and had a tour by a delightful young man who was a little nervous but so enthusiastic about the Vikings and their ships.
In the evening - it being Valentines we headed off to a recommended Pizza restaurant and were served heart shaped pizzas! We met a very chatty young Danish couple who told us all about themselves and asked us about England. A perfect night!
