One of the first locals....

...we spotted in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria; this hoopoe was hopping around the hotel garden.

We suffered a very cold journey on the Jet2 flight from Leeds Bradford this morning. Our pre-booked extra leg-room seats in the centre of the plane had cold air blasted at us throughout the journey. 

Despite our complaint, we were simply offered very thin 'blankets' which were totally inadequate for almost a 5-hour endurance test. We were not the only complainants and await a response from the company, since we have the same seats booked for the return flight next Saturday.

I spotted this family group silhouette on the sea-wall later in the afternoon.
