There's a seriously strong cold wind...

... to accompany the bright sunshine here today. 

That's why most people had their heads covered with woolly hats, hoods or bonnets, with facial expressions denouncing the cold.

OK, we had glorious sunshine in Gran Canaria during our week there, but it was quite hot despite some windy days.

We might not like today's cold but we are still glad to have escaped the island, just minutes before the severe sand storm, which has delayed many travellers from leaving the island.
