Pruning

A gorgeous day. I finish pruning in the orchard - teetering at the top of ladders, bringing the apples closer to the ground. Then, it’s an afternoon of burning the trimmings. They’re damp, needing to be fed gradually into the incinerator. It’s a relaxing, absorbing task. More fun than feeding hedge trimmings into the shredder.

Tomorrow, back to work.
