Tulip season

It's that time again, tulips are sold everywhere. This one in last Thursday's new bouquet is a delicate pale orange-pink one. When it arrived the bud was still green, it's always surprising to see them start to colour. I couldn't resist playing a bit in PS Elements to emphasise the curves and lines of the petals. I hope this coming Thursday you'll also like to play/faff/fartnarkle with your Abstract Thursday entries, the optional theme will be 'painterly' and the tag will be AT192

Thanks so much for all your AT entries with or without the 'rhythm' theme. Rhythm in photography has everything to do with patterns, repetition, alternation, undulation and progression and there were some great examples of that in the entries.

Last week's 5 specials are:
DonnaWanna   for a beautifully lit leaves abstract
gblrps                for a swinging saxophone
Hotmandarins for capturing the rhythm within a building
gordo                for the rhythm of water ripples
flavia                for an amazing spiralling rhythm

Thanks again and I'm looking forward to your painterly entries this coming Thursday.

And thank you very much for your kind comments and stars for yesterday's lathyrus/sweet pea seed pods and seeds
