Down to the wire - MM266

I had to look up the expression 'down to the wire', one that didn't ring any bells with me strangely enough. But having Googled it and found out what it is usually used for I think it is very apt for the UK/EU situation at the moment, especially since PM May's latest decision to postpone the vote once more. 33 days to go .... if that's not pushing it until the very last !
