Monkey business

We left Tarangire very early in the morning and headed up to the Ngorongoro crater where we are due to spend two nights.  It took hours on bumpy roads to get to the bottom of the crater and then another tortuous journey up windy, pot-holed roads to reach the hotel.

Later we visited a Masai village and were entertained by some of the children in the local school as well as joining in a traditional jumping dance.

The views are spectacular looking down into the crater itself, which is 19 km x 21 km. and it's difficult to see anything down there, although we know it's crammed with animals.  I'll add some extras, including the hotel.
