Duck The Halls

This is our new tree/ Monkey's new play area, & it's finally up, having lived in its box for about a week.

It's a little bare at the moment as you can see, but we're hoping to pick up a few nice decorations or even be adventurous & make some of our own (we're making our own Christmas cards, so we've got the creative bug on the card & paper front at the moment).

Back to work today for us 3-day-weekenders. All normal & nothing to report on that front, other than the fact that I did have a rather dodgy leftover Indian for lunch which sent my stomach into axe-wielding somersaults & re-set my body temperature to that of the center of the Sun. Back home, everything back to normality, Jenny rustled us up some scrumptious & crispy jack spuds with cheese & bacon on top, with sour cream & sweet chili sauce for dipping. And we settled down to watch Mighty Ducks, a film I had not seen before but which Jen & monkey rave about. It was great fun, with some funny characters & warming, uplifting storyline. Maybe we should have watched it before we'd been ice skating, a feature of yesterday's blip. The Ducks have got some silky skills on blades, might have helped.. or sent us sliding across the ice spreadeagled, either or.
