The Round House, Wheatley, Oxon
Built in the 1830s this was a holding prison for drunkards who would frequent the village pubs.
The sore headed prisoners were held here overnight before appearing before the magistrate in Oxford the next day.
Nowadays its a local landmark and a reminder that there were once 10 public Houses in this small village.
Interestingly it isn't round but is a 6 sided pyramid. The extra shows the only door.
Had to go to hospital today to get my hip replacement signed off from when I had it done in 2017 following an infection.
We were home just after lunch having picked up my two Christmas Raffle prizes that I won from the League of Friends.
Another warm day
