Walking in the Sunshine

It’s crazy world. Last year at this time, cars were stuck in snowdrifts, whole villages were cut off by the snow and many people were stranded and forced to sit the weather out in church halls and hotels.

This year people are sitting in the hundreds out on the Meadows and I am basking in the sunshine on the patio in a thin jumper with a temperature matching a summer one. I am trying to save this memory for the weeks to come when no doubt the Gulf Stream will sink southwards and let us down again.

Anyone who has had the unpleasant task of disposing of a loved one’s possessions after they die will perhaps have had the illogical thought like I have that they will appear at any minute and be devastated that not only have their clothes have gone but also books and some prized belongings.
My rational brain knows this is ridiculous but I can’t help but think that our actions may be recorded in some form of energy.

My blip was taken this morning as I walked along the Union Canal at Fountainbridge.
