Stonechat #23
The last of the sunshine, so the forecasters said, so we made the most of it and hubby and I went off to RSPB Arne to join the Wednesday walk.
They took us over a part of the heath that is not open to the public where we saw some quite distant views of stonechats and Dartford warblers. Tricky to get decent shots as they were so far away, so this heavily cropped one will have to do.
We also saw the spoonbills again, but the heat haze and proximity was against any photographs, plus they didn't get their spoons out as they were waiting for the tide to come in apparently. It was nice to see them though.
After a quick snack at the café, we then went to Studland and had a lovely walk along the beach. In the summertime I bet that beach is very busy with children building sandcastles and playing in the water or collecting shells.
Thanks so much for all the presents that have been left over the past few days. I will catch up with commenting tomorrow as if the expected rain occurs, I won't be going very far at all.
