Templer Way
On this very sunny day I was out with the walking group on the first stage of the Templer Way. It starts on Dartmoor close to Haytor, see extras and continues along the route that granite slabs travelled initially by train and later by canal and river down to Teignmouth. The main blip shows the remains of the track close to Haytor. I have walked this route a few years ago when it was very wet so it was particularly nice to have good weather. It was still fairly hazy in areas but sunny for us. We saw several butterflies out including yellow Brimstones and only stopped for a quick lunch as the two swans in the pool were keen to approach us for food.
Then it was back home before an early local evening meeting.
