Leaf skeleton
Over the years, we've collected various interesting objects, and then decided to make a little natural history museum case, with sliding glass doors and labels on the items - they range from fossils to birds nests, and even includes a tear gas canister Gill picked up from the Jungle refugee camp in Calais.
This is a very delicate leaf skeleton we found in the park many years ago. It's tricky to photograph the detail, but it's one of my favourite things in our little museum.
Had a productive day at the computer, then had parents' evening at the college, with reassuring and encouraging remarks from all of Daisy's teachers. We had our traditional go out to the local tandoori for dinner afterwards.
If there was another day of February tomorrow, my parents would have their 67th anniversary. As it is, next year they'll have their 17th leap-anniversary.
