Deliberate brick
A lonely brick in the wall in Queensberry House. I think QH was originally slated for demolition when they planned the Parliament but pretty soon realised that wasn't going to happen so they incorporated it into the design. It's a beautiful mix of old stonework and modern white plasterwork and another great feature of our lovely, quirky Parliament building. Turns out Hailes was a quarry in Slateford, Edinburgh so I guess they decided to aspect that when they were doing the renovations.
