it's been many weeks now - that i've had these roses - and now they're beginning to show - their age, getting tattered around - the edges with brown spots - which is exactly what happens - to us humans as we age - we also begin to show wear - by getting age spots on our skin - developing tatters in places - we'd rather not mention - but i believe it simply adds to our original - beauty we began with - it's developing a patina on our skin - it adds depth and richness which - when others gaze upon us

they know we have dealt with - the intricacies of life - therefore have a greater respect - for us, or should because of those - burdens borne - so it is with the beauty - of this now aging rose - why then it will lead to...
