Thro' the chip shop window
Good to catch up with Andrea (with tales of her newly adopted cat) and Cheryl (who brought Dolly, the Bedlington terrier) when they came for mandolin lessons with MrM.
Off to Alnwick late in the afternoon. First, a meal at Carlo's; we ate in the upstairs dining room as it was heaving downstairs, with several very noisy young children running amok (whatever happened to parental responsibility?). Rather liked the view through the upstairs window, with the lights reflecting in the glass.
Then it was on to the DIY store, so MrM could buy some plaster for the living-room walls (the main reason for the trip to Alnwick), and I came out of the shop with another jasmine plant - just couldn't resist it! Finally a supermarket shop.
About to relax with a glass of red...
