The 'Beast from the East' is in no hurry to leave!

It snowed overnight, and it's snowed on and off all day. Drivers warned to stay off the roads, no buses, no chance of getting to work in Berwick. Lots of roads blocked (including the A1 from Morpeth to Berwick), no east coast trains north of Newcastle. And the Met Office weather warnings seem to be extending in to the weekend...

Windy too today, and MrM cleared great drifts of snow so we could open the gate to the 'yard and he could get in to the workshop. Like many houses in Wooler we seem to have acquired icicles (extra). Difficult to tell from the photo, but the largest is about 150cm in length.
