Keetie's Hoose
It's been a fine day, the odd light shower, some sunny spells, and then the rain came in tonight.
Meant to be my weekend off, but I swapped shifts, and I've been working on the museum desk all day. From the moment we opened the doors, the folk flooded in, mostly locals. We really are missing the cafe on days like this. I also had a few setups for next week to sort. It's been a quiet evening at home, and walkies have been put off so far, due to the rain. A movie and feet up for the night.
I nipped down the road at lunchtime, and a brisk walk. As I walked past Keetie's (Katie) house, I spied a broken window, and had a look inside. Such a sad state of disrepair and rot. Me and friend Doreen (Smith) used to pop by Keetie, and get some sweeties, she was a lovely lady and a homely house. The saddest thing for me, I can't see her face in my memory, I'd love to be able to see her smile again. Maybe I'll get a photo of her in our museum someday. Taken at Greenmow, Cunningsburgh.
