Mt Arrowsmith

This afternoon Marie and I went traveling into the Hakatere Valley, past Lake Clearwater and up to Lake Emma. This is taken from the road looking toward Mt Arrowsmith on the left, it was quite rough with lots of corrugations and large potholes. The scenery and day were magnificent. This area was used for filming Lord of the Rings.
