Blue

Raoul the corn snake is not his usual vibrant self at the moment. He has gone ‘blue’, the milky state of a snake when it is about to shed its skin. Any day now I expect to see a translucent discarded suit of Raoul’s outerwear strewn around the vivarium, leaving him looking bright and fresh again.
