On the Road to Hervey Bay
We'll today was the first day of the big drive .... it all went well, just over 700kms to Hervey Bay.
The car survived and drove well, the only problem being that first gear is a tad on the sticky side..... but seeing as how we basically only had to stop afew times & stayed in 5th gear for most of the drive it was fine.
Spent the night in Hervey Bay, a nice enough seaside town which most people visit on the way to Fraser Island.
I really need to get a better lens as a better zoom lens would have come in handy last night..... I'm not exaggerating when i say that there were hundreds of thousands of bats in the sky at dusk , google it........it was amazing coupled with a huge electrical storm on the horizion........ it was all very end of the world like.... unfortunatly i just didn't have a good enough lens ....so frustrating!!!
The pic i have used wasn't altered in anyway , thats straight out of the camera , it was a very strange light last night...
Knackered after the drive so it was a early night, fortunatley the next days drive is only 300kms down to Brisbane.....
