The morning after..
I don't call myself a Youth Worker (it's complicated) but today my haul from the car, after yesterday's youth event, was evidence to the contrary.
We've started a new Youth Event which is aiming to bring together young people from across the town. As with anything new, it brings with it a certain amount of nerves but thankfully, an equal amount of excitement. Yesterday's event was really brilliant, although I've got my fingers firmly crossed this morning that we didn't upset the older members of the baptist church with our noisy shenanigans.
In other news, I ran what I thought was a Parkrun PB on Saturday. I've been trying to beat it since December and Saturday finally felt like I'd broken through. The official time was 26.00 minutes, the exact same time as my PB. I don't know whether to be impressed with myself for managing such a exact time or disappointed that one second faster would have bagged me the PB.
I've decided to give up social media for lent (insta, fb, twitter) as I decided that it's probably the thing that I could do with cutting out the most. I'm keeping blip though, so hopefully this will force me into blipping a bit more regularly.
