In the Box

The back of this sort of formation is called the Box position.   At least I think it is . . . I've never flown in this big a formation, I regret to report, but in a four-ship it's called that.

It looked so good that I felt that I had to add it to my Blip record, even though it was taken last week, and it's not my shot.

Nor do I know the chap who took it, but it will have been the back-seater as the pilot will have been very busy keeping the aircraft in such a good formation.
