Flower Friday . . . Colchicum

These sweet bulbs have appeared to signal the change of the season.  I was given them by my neighbour Ann and I am very pleased to see they have survived in my garden.  
After being pessimistic that we wouldn't get rain I awoke in the night to hear it on the roof.  27mm whoopee.  It was still wet this morning so I cut three flowers and brought them inside for a play.  This is in camera double exposure.
