...was the winning ticket. I'm the proud owner of the Matchmakers and a whole lot more from the Christmas hamper raffle. You don't get to keep the actual hamper, which I don't mind as I couldn't eat a whole one.
One of our neighbours became a Grandmother for the first time this week. Lily Katherine is a lucky baby as she'll hear nothing but laughter from her Nana Jean. I bumped in to Jean and shared news of my win.
"I have a tin of spam".
"Why do people get nostalgic for spam? what is it with Spam Fritters?"
I confessed I'd eat anything if it was frittered. Jean suggests I go to the Chippie and ask them to fritter my spam but I need to be clear it's not a euphemism. I'm hoping that's not how this phone box got so steamy!

For our non-UK blippers spam, as well as being unwelcome emails, is a tinned pre-cooked meat and a contraction of the words 'spiced ham'. A fritter is a something that's deep-fried. I know, I can hear you licking you lips from here!
