Home from home?

Ok, it's really not, but I'll survive...maybe?

Up at a fairly reasonable time to get the train to Kilmarnock, the journey from Glasgow out to Kilmarnock was really very lovely, especially with the blue sky, but unfortunately camera was buried in the bottom of my bag! I was very grateful to be picked up from the train station by placement buddy Claire. Thankfully the radiographers here are very chilled, we were told to go to the accommodation and get ourselves settled before going back to the department, so we rocked up sometime after 2, were given a 20 min tour, then told to go and get ourselves settled and get our shopping, best first day of placement ever! So off to tesco to try and buy 10 days' worth of food.

Our wee flat is ok actually, I had expected worse. I came prepared for it to be freezing, with fleecey pj's, fluffy blanket, extra jumpers, only to find my radiator seems to be on slow cook setting, although having said that it's actually cooking me quite quickly. So other than having no forks, the water smelling as if something has died in it, and the fact I may contract some tropical disease by the end of the week, it's not too bad!
