Kingfisher...

It was another up and out early morning and despite getting to the hide well before dawn it was already filling up with very keen photographers eager to take advantage of a promised clear spell of weather.

I took a different camera lens combination anticipating a need for a greater depth of field if the kingfishers were still courting, glad I did because in the above photo the bird was far too close for the 600mm. Mandy from the Camera Club joined me a little later and we had a really good couple of hours until the weather broke and it poured with rain.
