Peace at Last
Well at least that’s what Bluebell the cat thinks this afternoon now Eda has gone home. Silly cat has not stayed in the house whilst she has been here unless she’s been in bed!
Bright and very breezy this morning so we got booted and suited and set off to Coppice Pond to feed the ducks and swans.
I discovered that Eda in her wellies isn’t quite as balanced as in her shoes. She had on her salopetts, which she’s had a while and are still a bit big and her new coat which I think is to grow into! She was quite bundled up.
She sat by the edge of the pond clutching her duck food hoping they would come for it, whilst I threw mine out. I did stand at the edge with her so she could drop it into the pond but was a bit wary of getting close to the swans.
We then walked along a bit to see the young swans who are currently cast out at the head of the pond but en route we came across a puddle. Well she wanted to stand in it, as you do when you are wearing your wellies, it wasn’t very big so why not? Fine, but then she fell forward. I stood her up and then she fell back! No problem really but unfortunately once she had muddy hands she was not happy. Only had a tissue for the cleaning up which was apparently not good enough. So it was game over and back to the ranch!
Still I think she enjoyed it and we’d got everything clean again by the time mummy and daddy arrived.
They left after lunch so a very quiet afternoon now and the cat looks happy and content! (I’m counting the weeks!)
