Christchurch - New Regent Street

New Regent Street is a great place to go for a coffee or an ice cream and watch the world and the trams go by.
With beautiful Spanish Mission architecture and its pastel colour scheme it is popular with locals and tourists alike.

Having done the tourist tram in the morning, in the afternoon we took the gondola to the top of Mount Cavendish from where there are spectacular 360 degree views of the city and surroundings. Today's extra is a panoramic view of Lyttelton Harbour which formed in a sunken volcanic crater.
