Contrasts

There was still snow on the ground (and somewhat slippy higher roads including this one , the Leanach, which rises out of Glendaruel and then down into Strachur) when Marie Claire picked me up at 7.50 am for a day which started with appointments in the Argyll & Bute Council HQ at Kilmory and finished (just after midnight) in a hotel near the Houses of Parliament, where tomorrow I will be giving evidence to the Scottish Affairs Select Committee.

All interspersed of course with frequent recourses to online news sites and Twitter to see exactly what was unfolding in London and Strasbourg.

Nothing much new seems to be the answer.
