ENVIRO400XLB

We had forgotten that there were new double-decker buses, the Enviro400XLB, on our route until we pulled up behind one and another approached as we returned from a walk. They are indeed very new - note the prefix 19 on the numberplate.

These offer a much-needed increase in capacity, especially during the rush hour, with 100 seats and space for 26 standing, on a triple-axle chassis and two-door access/egress facility. It will be interesting to see how they manœvre the intricacies of the route and, if they also provide a greater supply of the Metro, I shall be happy to patronise them.
