Testing for protein

Traditionally the Biuret food test for protein doesn’t work very well and the purple colour is hard to see. Well today I tried it with egg white (frozen and defrosted), soaked gelatin, and full fat milk and it worked well with all of them but especially well with the defrosted egg white. I love research, the best part of my job!
