It's going to be phantasmagorical!
I assume the safety sign was strategically placed on the floor because of the cracked flag, and not because it's been raining all day. I'm not sure which is more of a trip hazard!
I booked a couple of random events today for book club, one is held at the Museum of Science and Industry and takes place in the Atmospheric Memory Chamber. It is billed as a 'daring artwork, sensory performance and immersive installation which harnesses state-of-the-art technology and classic phantasmagorical effects'. It reminds me of the time I got turned into cosmic matter at the Science Festival so could be amazing or off the wall and weird!
Sign language choir was a challenge tonight as we attempted a group translation of One Day More from Les Miserables! Turns out the company I applied for a job with yesterday called the Deaf Centre a couple of weeks ago to enquire about BSL training and deaf awareness. I'm very pleased I managed to mention my Level 1 qualification.
Quote for today:
So long as ignorance and poverty exist on earth, books of the nature of Les Miserables cannot fail to be of use.
