Saltaire-on-Sea

WI walk day and thankfully an improvement in the weather. Storm Gareth was still blowing but it was dry and we even had sunshine. A short walk through the woods and along the canal to the Five Rise Café for tea and treats, then back along the canal and riverside. One chap was stand up paddleboarding to Leeds for comic relief, with the wind blowing in the right direction he didn't need to do much paddling.

The river levels have dropped slightly, but judging by the debris on the riverbank the paths have been submerged this week, and there was no sign of the weir today where the water looked more like the sea than the river.
