Rouen.
Today we said goodbye to Arras and headed on our way to Caen stopping off in ROUEN to visit the the mighty cathedral there.
As we travelled through the countryside to Rouen the weather decided to change from cold and windy to very wet and very windy! How blessed were we to have dry weather for the visits to the various graves.
Rouen Cathedral was a very austere and rather dark building but had a very dramatic feel to it. After a good look around we faced the wet and wind again and headed for Caen and to our next Hotel.
Hotel Andry was on the sea front at Ouistreham and proved to be adequate indeed. After a very nice evening meal it was off to bed to prepare for WW2 and the D day landings. More to find out!
