Windy Weather

It was very windy today, with rain this afternoon, probably part of one the frequent storms, Gareth possibly?

We had a nice day.  After some jobs around the house this morning we went to The Swan cafe at the RSC for coffee, followed by lunch at Pret.  We then went to the Picture House to see Green Book. An excellent film based on the true story of the renowned pianist Don Shirley and his driver as his band undertook a concert tour of the southern states of the USA. This was set in 1962 when racism, especially in the southern states, was extreme.  This made life difficult for the black pianist where, for example, he could be headlining a concert but not allowed in the venue's dining room.
