Eventful!

Today was our annual club Orienteering competition the Compass Sport Cup. We were up against some much larger clubs and our strength lies in the older age groups. I was asked to run up a class. My concentration was not good and the bramble strewn forest floor did not agree with my knees so do not think I would be a counter.

This is club member V finishing strongly.

We travelled up the A1 on the way home and narrowly avoided being involved in an accident. Two cars collided on the southbound carriageway and one flipped up and over the central reservation into our carriageway’s fast lane. How it avoided hitting anyone was extremely fortuitous. The driver scrambled out unscathed. Not a sight I want to see again!
