Great Falls

We went to canal this morning and walked out to Olmstead Island which overlooks the Potomac River at Great Falls.  The water was quite high and all the rain over the winter has done a bit of damage.  Parts of the canal pathway have been eroded, and one of the most popular hiking trails is closed because of flooding.  Just for fun I have loaded a couple of closeup shots into extras, as well as a shot of the rapids that run through the island.  A wide angel B&W shot can be seen HERE.
