Beacons

After yesterday's picture of a (sort of) daytime lighthouse on Holy Island, today's picture is of a night-time version in Berwick upon Tweed.

We drove up to Berwick in the morning to attend church and, after a spot of coffee and croissants later at a social enterprise cafe, went for a walk around the city ramparts where we encountered this beacon. The lighthouse behind it made for a good juxtaposition (in my opinion).

Suitably exercised and windswept we drove back to our cottage for lunch and to tidy up before our journeys home. It had been another fine weekend away; a chance to relax in the company of friends who know each other well.
