Gus

Gus belongs to Marilyn, a dear, dear person who walked into my life about 30+ years ago and we've been best friends ever since. We have so much fun together and we think alike on a lot of things and then totally opposite on a lot of things. It's made for a lively relationship over the years. She's an Anglophile like myself and our dream is to go to England together one day. We talk about it all the time and one of these days.....

I had hoped for a spectacular country blip today because my daughter and I were headed out to the country to look at a house to rent and I knew there would be nice country scenes to photograph so I went with all my gear, totally prepared to come back with so many blips it would be hard to choose one.

Well, let me tell you, the place we looked at was without doubt one of the most ghastly spots you could ever imagine, and they wanted $950 a month for it. It would be impossible to describe how bad it was but let me just say that if they paid ME $950 a month to live in it, it wouldn't be nearly enough. So we gave up without photographing a single blade of country grass, cow or horse and sought refuge and a cup of tea at Marilyn's house where I took this snap of her dear little Gus.

So, it out to be a positive blip day after all.
