Parc de la Villette ...

... is the third-largest park in Paris, with a large collection of cultural venues.  (The blip shows Folie L9--the park's digitally-inspired information and ticket office.)  The park includes the Paris Philharmonic, with its Cité de la Musique, the objective of our afternoon outing.  We visited a moving exhibition: Doineau et la Musique.  Robert Doineau (1912-84) was one of the greatest French photographers of the 20th century. He photographed musicians and their activities throughout his career; many were his friends. Science was another of Doineau's interest:  In 2016 Paris's Museum of Natural History exhibited photographs he had taken there.
