Grand Palais + Alexander III Bridge
Taken as I changed buses on my way to an exhibition. The rearing horses in the distance on the right are up close in this blip from 2008 (!)--a favorite of mine, not to be missed :) The exhibition was on a Danish artist, Vilhelm Hammershøi (1864-1916), at the Jacquemart-André Museum. Characteristic of much Scandinavian art of that period (which has always intrigued me), his style is restrained and minimalist to an extreme; I found it quite engrossing; here's an interesting review.
