The Hoodie
The lights are on but there is nobody at home ..........until suddenly they come, all the way from darkest Dennistoun to quirky Quartermile, full of festive cheer and high sprits, carrying presents for siblings they won't manage to see before Christmas as they are off to spend the holiday in beautiful Bath.
The sunshine shone, while we laughed and were entertained by Nina aged 4 and a quarter, the all time party girl and winning Snap card player.
All too soon they were homeward bound, and the dishwasher's hum was the only sound in the suddenly quiet house.
Christmas should not be quiet...... it never used to be before the nest emptied.
The Dame Edna Everage sunglasses went to Nina and the hoodie to Glasgow daughter.
