Diary of an Edinburgher

Dave's hat

At one point we had seven workmen in this morning. Archie was LOVING it! He was running round them all, and even ran off with Dave's woolly hat. He was in and out following the lads, but builders do not close gates... When I banished him to the lounge out of the way, he started crying. Thank goodness Michael arrived in all the mayhem and took him away for a while.

The bathroom is now tiled.
The kitchen floor is sanded.
The extractor fan has been installed. And quite a job it was too (Extra).
The toilet will stay out in garden overnight.

Sorry??

The toilet cannot be put in tonight because they poured a 'floor leveller' over the bathroom floor (on top of the underfloor heating mat). We will not be having our usual coffee this evening! Dave did offer to come back later this evening and replace the toilet, but we kindly said not to bother.

I've just paid a visit to they gym and asked

'What time do you closed this evening?'
'What's it for? The gym and swimming pool close at different times.'
'Er... the toilet?'
'Ten o'clock.'

It's mind over matter tonight. And the gym opens at 7am...
