A host of golden daffodils
Daffodils are permantly associated with the Lake District because of William Wordworth's poem but there is so much green up here that you really do notice them. I am sure I did not notice them as much when living in Kent. Just had to stop by the side of the road on my way back from swimming (again) to snap these. The first verse of Wordsworth's poem is below. I did see a crowd, beneath the trees but sorry no lake in sight,
"I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze"
