Sláinte!

A fine day with family that ended with a belated birthday celebration with Krista and Kalyn! We went out for a delicious dinner after finding a restaurant that had space for the 7 of us and luckily were able to sit on the patio because it was so loud inside that we'd have been shouting at each other. It was a lovely evening, but thank goodness for the heaters on the patio! Still great to eat al fresco. When we left, G told one of the hosts that he should be wearing ear protectors! 
Earlier in the day, we spent a few hours in the gym watching Kalyn and her SFU team playing against a senior women's team and then against an alumni team. After not seeing her and the other 3 players from her club team that we know from her high school years back on the court, we were thrilled with how well they're playing. 3 of them red-shirted last season and one got very little playing time.
